How the ppm10xx zero supports the Hilter Municipal Building Department<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the municipality of Hilter in the Teutoburg Forest, the building authority uses the ppm10xx zero to carry out a wide range of measurements independently. This saves the municipality money and the building authority’s employees valuable time. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Measuring water pipes, recording measuring points during road reconstruction or documenting rain retention basins – we can do tasks like these ourselves with the ppm10xx zero,” explains Oliver Wegmann, deputy head of the construction and planning department. “It can happen, for example, that we only come across points during the construction work that need to be measured at short notice. Thanks to the ppm10xx zero, we are able to carry out these measurements immediately without having to wait for external surveyors. This makes our work much easier.” The ppm10xx zero is a multi-frequency RTK receiver that receives and processes signals from various GNSS systems (GPS, Glonass, Galileo and Beidou). This ensures a high level of measurement accuracy – even in places where reception is normally limited, such as directly on a house wall. With a weight of 170 grams and dimensions of 125 \u00d7 30 \u00d7 56 mm, the RTK receiver is light and compact and is attached to a measuring rod with a helix antenna built into it. The well-thought-out design with the heavier components in the middle of the rod avoids impractical top-heaviness.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angle measurement for maximum flexibility<\/strong><\/strong><\/mark>
A special highlight<\/strong> of the ppm10xx zero is its ability to deliver precise results even when measuring at an angle. The measurement results remain accurate even when the measuring rod is tilted up to 60 degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When measuring on excavations or rainwater retention basins, for example, the verticality of the measuring rod does not have to be checked, which makes the measurements even easier and faster.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integrated Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) reliably compensates for the inclination, so that precise measurements are possible even in hard-to-reach places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simple operation for quick measurements<\/mark><\/strong>
The data is recorded using the Samsung tablet PC supplied, which is attached to the measuring rod in the appropriate position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The intuitive user interface makes it possible to start measuring straight away after only a short training period,” <\/em>says Wegmann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recorded data can be easily exported and integrated into municipal construction plans or forwarded to engineering offices. Data is transferred either via USB or via a Bluetooth connection. This means that the results are immediately available at the workplace.Thanks to the powerful battery, the ppm10xx zero can be operated for up to 24 hours at a time. Even with tilt measurement activated, the battery lasts for up to 15 hours without having to be recharged in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GNSS sensor has now proven itself to be a useful tool, according to Deputy Head of the Building Authority Wegmann. With its precision, ease of use and the ability to work flexibly and independently of external surveyors, it enables a significant increase in efficiency in construction projects – to the benefit of the municipality and its citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
